Westlake Haters

Do not expect to stroll into a Starbucks rockin an Uptown Espresso cup without getting hated on.

I was on my way to my coffee shop (Uptown Esp.) when I caught wind of some bacon, I decide right then and there that I would get my Uptown mocha and walk a block down to the Bucks where I know I could score something with that sweet sweet pork in it. The first pick up went smooth and I sipped my tasty drink all the way down the block. I arrived at the second stop to pick up my pepper bacon cheddar blah blah breakfast biscuit and was greeted with scoring looks of disapproval.

The young lady at the register quickly called me out on my Uptown cup, “Uptown, huh? WTF?” before I could answer, her co-worker chimed in with, “hey, I like your jacket, but you need to take that Uptown BS outta here.”  I did my best to defend my cup against the two sassy sisters. I stated that their mochas taste like shit, and I only go to Starbucks for the bacon.

I was hoping at that point that my muffin would be ready and I could go, but no. This gave me time to elaborate on my distaste for their mochas. After some debate the one who liked my jacket said that next time I see her, she would make me a mocha and pay for it!

I learned that they use a different type of syrup and I need to ask for a vanilla mocha if I want it to taste good. I guess I will find out if I ever go back there for more bacon.
